ISLAMABAD: The leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Fawad Chaudhry has alleged that the First Information Report (FIR) into Wazirabad assassination attempt on life of Imran Khan couldn’t be registered (as per PTI’s request), because there is no rule of law in the country, and a powerful gang has taken political and judicial system as hostage.

Taking to Twitter, Fawad Chaudhry said for these reasons, when Indian PM Modi said he couldn’t understand as to whom to talk with in Pakistan, “we had no answer.”

Fawad Chaudhry went on to say that Army was a recognized power in Pakistan, however, people now stood as an organized force under the leadership of Imran Khan. He said state institutions would have to recognize and acknowledge people’s rights, and the issue (of recognition of rights) had to be resolved.
“People will never accept that a certain gang continues to exist above the law, and justice will be done in matters related to Azam Swati, Arshad Sharif and Wazirabad attack,” he added.
