KARACHI: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has said on the decision of the Supreme Court that it is with deep regret that such a decision was not expected.

In an exclusive interview with local TV, he said that we have always respected the decisions of the courts. “We will look at the evidence and make the letter part of the decision,” he maintained.

Imran Ismail further said that the prime minister has convened a meeting of party leaders today. This is an international conspiracy against Pakistan, this is not a Qatari letter, Pakistan has been threatened with a change of government, he said.

The governor of Sindh further said that we are fully prepared for the elections, the opposition itself was demanding immediate elections and is now running away. “What was happening in Sindh House was unconstitutional, to awaken conscience in Sindh House. The machine was installed,” he said.

He said that the decision would increase the uncertainty, there would be no improvement, political confrontation would intensify and the economy could be shaken.

Governor Sindh said that we will play our role to the fullest. “No one can accuse Imran Khan of corruption. A decision remains to be made in the National Assembly on Saturday. Members of Parliament have been invited to the meeting,” he said.

Imran Ismail said that there are rumors regarding resignations, if the Prime Minister said that so then PTI members will resign, tomorrow it will be decided what will be the next course of action, and everything will be consulted in the meeting with the Prime Minister, he maintained.
