RAWALPINDI: A seminary teacher named Mufti Shahnawaz has been arrested for raping a minor student.
According to details, police arrested Mufti Shahnawaz Ahmed, the superintendent of Zia-ul-Bat Madrassa, on the charge of raping and torturing a madrassa student at Pir Wadhai police station, against whom FIR No. 893 was registered in the police complaint. Police arrested the accused in a resistance case to avoid arrest.
The accused had sought interim bail from the court in the case under Section 376. The provisions of the FIR were augmented when the matter came to light during the investigation.

As per the instructions of CPO Muhammad Ahsan Younis, SSP Investigation and SP Rawal have started direct monitoring of the investigation of the cases so that the accused who raped the minor student can be punished severely. Earlier, a mufti of a religious seminary in Rawalpindi raped a 16-year-old girl. Police registered a case but the accused managed to escape.
Earlier, Mufti Shahnawaz, a teacher of a religious seminary in Pir Wadhai police station, raped a 16-year-old girl, whose case was registered two days ago. For some time, the accused Mufti Shahnawaz stayed in the Pir Wadhai area. Reliable sources said that the accused fled the madrassa in the evening which was allegedly assisted by the concerned police station.
