The platform’s plan seems increasingly focused on viewership benchmarks to decide the fate of its shows. This may influence the type of content Netflix decides to invest in moving forward. However, such sudden cancellations are undoubtedly disappointing for its viewers.
Yet, it highlights the harsh realities of the competitive streaming platforms, where not every show can unfortunately be guaranteed a multi-season run, regardless of the star power involved.
