Senior journalist and famous anchor-person Arshad Sharif was allegedly assassinated in Kenya last night. PTI leaders alleged that Arshad Sharif was martyred by a bullet on the head.
Renowned journalist Arshad Sharif, 49, belonged to a military family. His father was a commander in Pakistan Navy and brother was a Major in Pakistan Army. Brother Ashraf Sharif lost life in an attack by terrorists.

Who was Arshad Sharif?
Born in 1973 in Karachi, Arshad Sharif started his journalism in 1993 and began journalistic duties with English newspapers and TV channels.
Arshad Sharif got the fame from a private TV program ‘Power Play’, from where his popularity skyrocketed. In 2012 Arshad Sharif was awarded the ‘Agahi’ Award and in 2019 the Presidential Medal for ‘Pride of Performance’.
Demise of father and brother
Around 11 years back in 2011, Arshad Sharif’s father Muhammad Sharif died when he was stationed in Bannu, and his brother Ashraf Sharif was targeted by terrorists while he was on his way from Bannu to Rawalpindi.
As per some media reports, the cause of Ashraf Sharif’s death was declared as car accident, and last night, the world came to know about targeted killing of Arshad Sharif.
