According to Indian media reports, while recently speaking at an event about her upcoming movie ‘Emergency,’ Ranaut mentioned that no actor’s career consists solely of hit films.
She highlighted Shah Rukh Khan’s enduring success and said that while his career had its ups and downs, films like ‘Pathan’ eventually became hits. Ranaut highlighted that she and Shah Rukh Khan represent the final stars of their generation, stating that OTT platforms do not create stars and attribute their fame to their widespread recognition and demand.
Ranaut also acknowledged the fluctuating trajectory of her own career and said that while some of her films did not perform well initially, others like ‘Queen’ and ‘Manikarnika’ gained attention over time.
She expressed optimism about her upcoming film ‘Emergency,’ suggesting that it may also find success. Ranaut’s upcoming movie is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical historical drama film directed and produced by Kangana Ranaut, from a screenplay by Ritesh Shah and a story by Ranaut.
Based on the Indian Emergency, it stars Ranaut as the former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi. Besides her, The film also features Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhry, and Milind Soman in pivotal roles.
