The prices of solar panels, UPS and solar batteries in Pakistan have seen a significant reduction during April 2025.
According to market sources, the price of lithium batteries has seen a significant reduction of Rs 20,000. The previous price of the said battery was Rs 400,000, which has now decreased to Rs 380,000.
According to the report, the tubular battery has also become cheaper by Rs 15,000. The said battery has come down from Rs 70,000 to Rs 55,000.
On the other hand, the price of solar panels has reached Rs 28 per watt, which is a significant reduction compared to the previous month. Experts are calling this reduction a result of increased imports and government policies.
According to Federal Minister Owais Leghari, Pakistan imported 8,000 MW of solar panels last year. Now, plans are being made to set up plants for manufacturing solar inverters and other items locally, which will boost local industry.
It should be noted that due to expensive electricity and frequent power load shedding across the country, people of Pakistan have no other option but to install solar panels at their houses.
