Filming on the upcoming Tomb Raider series has been temporarily halted after actress Sophie Turner sustained an injury, Prime Video has confirmed. Turner, best known for her role as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, plays the globe-trotting archaeologist Lara Croft in the new adaptation of the iconic video game series.
A spokesperson for the streaming service said Turner suffered a “minor injury,” though it was unclear whether it occurred on set.

“As a precaution, production has briefly paused to allow her time to recover. We look forward to resuming production as soon as possible,” they added. No timeline for the hiatus has been provided, and further details on the injury were not disclosed.

Turner, 30, has been filming action sequences since being cast last year. She previously revealed she discovered a “perpetual back problem” during the show’s rigorous training regimen.
The series, written by Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge, will also star Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, and Celia Imrie.
