ISLAMABAD: Governor Sindh Imran Ismail today (Thursday) has asserted that Jahangir Tareen knows well about Prime Minister Imran Khan’s unwavering commitment to accountability and that it won’t be deterred.
He expressed his views while addressing a press conference in Islamabad. He was accompanied by the federal minister for information Fawad Chaudhry on the occasion.
“Tareen and his companions do not want to hurt Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI). Prime Minister believes that he will face the allegations against him. The investigation report will be submitted to the premier once it is ready,” Imran Ismail added.
Governor Sindh further said, “Jahangir Tareen knows well that the premier won’t show any flexibility on accountability and that he won’t change the process for anyone.” The governor also said that Tareen has expressed confidence in PTI’s counsel Ali Zafar.
Taking over the presser, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said upcoming visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to Saudi Arabia would prove a milestone in bilateral relations and cooperation in diversified areas.
Fawad remarked that the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman after PTI’s induction in the corridors of power helped in improving relations between the two brotherly counties.
Criticizing JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman over his irresponsible statement about defence capabilities, he said Fazl was disappointed with his political future and in this frustration, had been targeting national institutions.
