A center dedicated to teaching the Arabic language has been established at the Government Vocational Training Institute in the Buffer Zone area of Karachi, thanks to the collaboration between the United Arab Emirates and Sindh Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA).
Consul General Bakheet Ateeq Al-Remeithi of the United Arab Emirates presided at the opening of the Arabic Language Center in Karachi.
During the inauguration ceremony, Consul General Bakheet Ateeq Al-Remeithi emphasized the significance of this initiative, highlighting the substantial number of Pakistanis employed across various cities in the United Arab Emirates.
He noted a decline in the trend of individuals undertaking Arabic language courses before seeking employment in the UAE. With approximately 7 million Pakistanis working in Gulf countries, language barriers have posed challenges, hindering effective communication, even in crucial situations such as medical consultations.
Expressing optimism, the Consul General underscored the potential for Pakistani youth to acquire proficiency in Arabic, thereby enhancing their employability prospects. He assured preferential treatment for Pakistanis seeking employment across diverse sectors in the UAE. Additionally, plans are underway to facilitate visa processing for students interested in opportunities in the UAE.
Moreover, the Consul General urged students to refrain from engaging with anti-national content on social media platforms and advised them to delete such material.
