KABUL: Afghanistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has appealed for emergency humanitarian aid without political bias, saying the recent snowfall and floods have worsened the plight of the Afghan people.
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar said that inflation and unemployment have risen in Afghanistan. The United States has frozen billions of dollars in assets and severely disrupted aid supplies, he said.
In a video statement, Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Ghani Baradar said that it was the responsibility of the world to help Afghanistan. The world must support the Afghan people without any political bias and fulfill its humanitarian responsibilities, he maintained.
A few days ago, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that human tragedy must be stopped in Afghanistan. He said that international consensus is needed on Afghanistan.
According to ISPR, Commander Royal Bahrain Naval Force Muhammad Yousuf Al Issam visited General Headquarters (GHQ) and met with the Commander-in-Chief.

A statement issued by the ISPR said that issues of mutual interest, the situation in Afghanistan, and bilateral defense and security cooperation were discussed during the meeting.
The Bahraini commander expressed his desire to further enhance cooperation in various fields while praising the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces as well as Pakistan’s role in the situation in Afghanistan and border management.
