Sad news for fans of Sydney Sweeney, as she will not be seen in “The Devil Wears Prada 2” after her cameo scene was reportedly cut from the final version of the film.
According to reports from Entertainment Weekly and Variety, the scene was removed during post-production as a “creative decision” because it did not work structurally with the flow of the movie.
Earlier, Sydney Sweeney filmed a cameo in which she played herself as a celebrity client of Emily Charlton, portrayed by Emily Blunt.
The sequence was set early in the film at Dior’s U.S. headquarters, where Emily now works as a senior executive.
In the scene, Emily is seen styling Sweeney for an upcoming event, just before Miranda Priestly, Andy Sachs, and Nigel arrive seeking her assistance.
It should be noted that rumors about Sweeney’s involvement first emerged in August 2025 after she was spotted on set in New York City, although she later played down the reports in interviews.
However, the actress does not appear in the final cut of the film, as her scene was ultimately removed during editing.
Despite the cut, Sweeney has recently returned to one of her most defining projects, appearing in the first two episodes of Euphoria Season 3, which premiered earlier this April on HBO.
