Private airline South Air has officially launched its scheduled domestic flight operations, beginning July 16, with services connecting Karachi, Islamabad, Bahawalpur and other regional destinations as part of its plan to enhance air connectivity, and promote tourism across Pakistan.
The private airline aims to improve air connectivity across the country, support regional development, and offer passengers safe, reliable, and high-quality travel services.
In its initial phase, South Air will operate regular flights linking Karachi, Islamabad, and Bahawalpur, while also introducing new routes from Karachi to Gwadar, Sukkur, and Rahim Yar Khan.
The airline expects these services to boost business, tourism, education, and economic activity in underserved regions.
Operations will commence with modern ATR 72-600 aircraft, known worldwide for their fuel efficiency, operational reliability, and adherence to international safety standards.
Chief Executive Officer Nishat Fatima said the airline plans to expand its fleet and route network to connect more cities with modern air travel facilities.
She described South Air as a national initiative to strengthen Pakistan’s air connectivity while ensuring punctual, safe, and customer-focused services.
