KARACHI: Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab has assured that the provincial government and its institutions will run Karachi.
In a statement, Murtaza Wahab said that how can anyone think that Karachi will be handed over to someone else. The recently formed committee would have no role in administrative matters, he further said.
The minister said that the federal government has been ignoring Karachi and now it will have to take the responsibility. It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan had said in the meeting regarding the Karachi Transformation Plan that an empowered administrator should be appointed to solve the problems of Karachi as the main reason for the problems of Karachi is the division of administrative powers.
He said that the prime minister said that unfortunately in the past the solution of problems on a permanent basis was ignored. The federal government is fully aware of the problems.
