Pakistan has categorically rejected what it calls provocative and inflammatory assertions made by the Indian Prime Minister during a recent address, warning that such rhetoric poses a serious threat to regional peace and stability.
In a strong statement issued by Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, Pakistan described the Indian PM’s remarks as “misinformed, politically opportunistic, and dangerous,” rooted in fabricated narratives designed to justify aggression and distract from domestic failures.
“At a time when international efforts are underway to reduce tensions, these statements reflect a blatant disregard for international law and a reckless mindset bent on upending strategic stability in South Asia,” the spokesperson said.
Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to the ceasefire understanding achieved through the facilitation of friendly nations, while dismissing India’s portrayal of Pakistan as “desperate” for a ceasefire as a calculated lie.
The Foreign Office also accused India of exploiting the recent Pahalgam attack without credible evidence to malign Pakistan and create a casus belli—a pretext for further military action.
“This narrative is being used to justify India’s unlawful and unprovoked aggression against Pakistani civilians and military targets, risking a full-blown regional escalation,” the statement added.
