The Sindh Home Department has announced a major relief for holders of computerized arms licenses across the province, allowing them to carry licensed weapons without the need for any additional documentation or separate carry permits.
According to a standing order issued by the Home Department on February 2, 2026, individuals possessing a valid computerized arms license are now permitted to carry the weapon mentioned on their license, provided it is kept in a concealed manner.
The order says that the weapon must not be displayed, brandished or openly exhibited in public.
The notification further clarifies that no additional document or “carry permit” will be required for license holders to carry their authorized weapons within Sindh.
The decision has been taken “in the best interest of the public of Sindh province,” the order said.

In addition, the standing order allows retainers mentioned on a computerized arms license to carry the licensed weapon when accompanied by the actual licensee.
The directive has been circulated to senior officials, including the Inspector General of Police Sindh, commissioners, deputy commissioners and senior superintendents of police across the province, with instructions for its implementation.
