Gold Surges Past Rs440,000 Per Tola in Pakistan

KARACHI: Rising gold prices in the international market have pushed up rates in Pakistan’s bullion markets, with the price of gold increasing by Rs2,000 per tola.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of one tola of gold has risen to Rs440,636 following the latest increase.

The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs1,715, reaching Rs377,774.

Meanwhile, gold prices also gained in the international market, where the price increased by $20 per ounce to reach a record level of $4,181 per ounce.

Silver prices also moved higher alongside gold. The price of silver increased by Rs50 per tola, taking the new rate to Rs6,578 per tola.
