RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed seven militants during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Eidak area of North Waziristan, while several militant hideouts were also destroyed during the operation.
According to security sources, operations against Fitna al-Khawarij are continuing across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision. Acting on intelligence about the presence of militants in Eidak, security forces conducted an effective operation and targeted the militants.
Sources said security forces pursued the militants and destroyed their hideouts as part of the operation, further restricting the space available for militant activities in the area.
Security forces have reiterated their resolve to continue operations aimed at eliminating terrorism and ensuring lasting peace in the country.
