Severe downturn in Pakistan Stock Exchange; trading halted

Due to a severe downturn in the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), trading has been temporarily halted, and the KSE-100 Index lost its psychological threshold, as reported by national media. 

On Thursday, trading at the stock market began with a downward trend, which continued throughout the session. At one point, the KSE-100 Index dropped by 1,346 points, bringing it down to the level of 108,662 points.

Later, the downward trend intensified, and due to a sharp decline of 6,948 points, trading was suspended. By that time, the KSE-100 Index had fallen to the level of 103,060 points.

Due to the significant downturn, trading in the Pakistan Stock Exchange was temporarily halted. According to market sources, under regulations, trading was suspended for one hour after the market dropped by more than 5%.

The index is suspended at the level of 103,060 points after falling 6,948 points. The Pakistan Stock Exchange administration has issued a notification regarding the temporary suspension of trading.
