The Punjab Safe Cities Authority has introduced a new online facility for citizens who receive incorrect e-challans, allowing them to request a review from the comfort of their homes.

According to the Punjab Police, citizens who believe they have received an incorrect e-challan can log in to the official e-challan website and submit a review request through the designated section. Applicants will be required to upload relevant evidence, which will be examined by authorities.

If the challan is found to have been issued incorrectly after verification, it will be cancelled within 24 hours, according to the police.

Punjab Police has urged citizens to use the review facility only for genuine complaints to help maintain transparency and ensure the effective functioning of the e-challan system.

The announcement has received mixed reactions on social media. Several users welcomed the online review option, calling it a positive step towards providing relief to motorists. However, some users also demanded action against officials responsible for issuing incorrect e-challans.
