NAGOYA: Pakistan produced a thrilling performance to defeat South Korea 5-3 and secure the bronze medal in the hockey event at the Asian Games.
The two teams remained locked in a closely contested battle throughout the match, with the score tied at 3-3 heading into the final quarter. With the game finely poised, Pakistan stepped up the attacking pressure in the closing stages and scored twice to seal a 5-3 victory.
Rana Waheed was the standout performer for Pakistan, scoring two goals against South Korea. Sufyan Khan, Abdul Rehman and Hannan Shahid also contributed a goal each.
The victory secured Pakistan a place on the Asian Games podium and earned the national hockey team the bronze medal.
