KE announces planned power shutdown in parts of Karachi on August 4

K-Electric has announced a scheduled maintenance shutdown across several areas of Karachi on August 4, 2026, during which residents are likely to face extended power outages lasting between 8 to 10 hours, depending on their locality.

According to the utility provider, electricity supply will remain suspended from 8:00am to 6:00pm as part of planned maintenance work aimed at improving the city’s power distribution system and ensuring better service reliability.
