ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has decided to approach court against the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab. This was announced by a spokesperson of the Interior Ministry.
The statement came following repeated attempts by ACE Punjab to arrest Rana Sanaullah on charges of taking bribes for granting illegal approval to a housing scheme in Kallar Kahar, Punjab. The ACE Punjab was ordered by Rawalpindi Judicial Magistrate to arrest and produce Rana Sanaullah in the said case.
The Interior Ministry spokesperson alleged that the ACE Punjab committed fraud in the records of a case that was registered four years ago. He said the issuance of Sanaullah’s arrest warrant was a ‘conspiracy’ against the federal government, and it had been decided to seek legal action against those responsible for ‘tampering with the case records and fraud’.
