The government has launched the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar 2026’ scheme, a major housing initiative aimed at helping low-income families build their own homes.
Under the scheme, eligible individuals will be provided with interest-free loans of up to Rs1.5 million, repayable in easy monthly instalments.
To apply, applicants must be residents of Punjab, heads of their families, owners of a small plot of land, and have an NSER PMT score below 60. The application process is simple and can be completed through an online portal or via a helpline.
