LAHORE: Winter holidays will be started in schools across Punjab province from different dates of December and January which have been announced.
According to details, 24 districts of the most densely populated province of Punjab will have winter holidays from December 23 to January 6, including Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, Lahore, Bahawalpur, and Sargodha.
The districts which have announced winter holidays from December 23 to January 6 include Kasur, Sialkot, Gujarat, Pakpattan, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Okara, Vehari, Khanewal, Khushab, Lodhran, Jhang, Bahawalnagar, and Hafizabad.

Mandi Bahauddin and Nankana Sahib will also have holidays till January 6, while the other 12 districts of Punjab will have winter holidays from January 3 to 13, including Rajanpur, Layyah, Jhelum, Mianwali, Attock, Muzaffargarh, and Chakwal.
Schools in Bhakkar, Rahim Yar Khan, Chiniot, Rawalpindi, and DG Khan will also remain closed from January 3 to 13. The Punjab Education Department said that the winter holidays were announced in view of the severity of winter.
