Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) deserter Fawad Chaudhry has met PTI’s Vice-Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Adiala jail on Wednesday, reportedly trying to convince him to change loyalty.
Ex-PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry has said he has contacted and held talks with the former leadership of the party today.
“We also held a detailed talk with Asad Umar and Shah Mahmood Qureshi,” he said.
“We believe that Pakistan needs to move towards stable solutions and we will god-willing head in that direction,” he said in a media talk outside Adiala Jail alongside Imran Ismail and Mahmood Baqi Moulvi.
Moreover, the ex-PTI leader said that the people of Pakistan could not be left at the mercy of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
Addressing a joint press conference alongside Imran Ismail and Mahmood Baqi Moulvi outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, he said, the 250 million population of Pakistan could not be left to PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
“Given Pakistan’s situation, it is not possible to leave the people of Pakistan to parties in the PDM (Pakistan Democratic Movement) government,” he said, holding the incumbent PDM-led government “directly responsible” for the political and economic uncertainty in Pakistan.
“It will not be possible at any cost that the position of opposition is left vacant” and the PDM was given an open field to play.
