ISLAMABAD: The prices of 23 essential items have increased and the prices of 13 have decreased in the country during a week.
The Federal Bureau of Statistics has released data regarding inflation in the country, according to which the inflation rate decreased by 0.16 percent in a week and the overall inflation rate was recorded at 45.72 percent.
In the weekly data released by the Bureau of Statistics, it was reported that the prices of 23 essential commodities increased in the country in a week and during this period the prices of 13 commodities decreased.

During a week, the price of live chicken increased by Rs 32 per kg, a 190-gram packet of branded tea increased by Rs 24, and the price of eggs per dozen increased by Rs 6.
According to the report of the Bureau of Statistics, in a week, the price of dal moong rose by Rs 3.38 paise and broken basmati rice by Rs 2 per kilo.
