ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has returned home after completing a two-day official visit to China.
According to the details, PM Shehbaz Sharif returned home between Wednesday and Thursday night. During the two-day visit, The prime minister also met the President in addition to his Chinese counterpart.
During his visit to China, PM Shehbaz Sharif also invited Chinese investors to visit Pakistan. It was agreed to strengthen strategic cooperation between Pakistan and China.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has announced an additional 500 million yuan in relief and rehabilitation work for flood victims in Pakistan. During the meetings, Pakistan-China relations were discussed.
During the meeting with the prime minister, President Xi Jinping also discussed the situation in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and Afghanistan, while both countries stressed the need for peace in Afghanistan.

In the declaration of the meeting between PM Shehbaz Sharif and President Xi Jinping, it was said that a peaceful and stable Afghanistan will lead to the promotion of regional security and economic development.
The statement further said that the extension of CPEC to Afghanistan will strengthen regional connectivity initiatives. It should be noted that this was the first visit of PM Shehbaz Sharif to China after assuming power.
