ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will pay a three-day visit to China from today till February 6 at the special invitation of Chinese leadership where important meetings will be held, MoUs, and agreements will be signed.
According to Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar, the Prime Minister will attend the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games during his visit to China. During the visit, PM Imran Khan will hold bilateral meetings with the Chinese President and the prime minister.
In the meetings, the leaders will review all aspects of bilateral relations, focus on strengthening trade and economic cooperation, including CPEC, and the leadership of the two countries will also discuss important regional and international issues.
The spokesperson said that the Prime Minister’s visit would mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.
During PM Imran Khan’s visit, a number of MoUs and agreements will be signed. In Beijing, the Prime Minister will also meet prominent Chinese business leaders and representatives of leading Chinese think tanks, educational institutions, and media.
In this regard, PM Imran Khan said that Pakistan values fraternal relations with China and his visit to China would be instrumental in taking the strong ties between the two countries to new heights.
