Early Sunday saw light rainfall in certain areas of Punjab, with further precipitation anticipated later in the day across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan.
Cities such as Sheikhupura and Chiniot in Punjab experienced showers on Sunday. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s advisory, Lahore and Murree may also witness rainfall throughout the day.
Temperatures in Murree are forecasted to hover between 10-12 degrees Celsius. Conversely, despite the rain, temperatures in Lahore could soar to 29-31 degrees Celsius.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is poised for rain in cities including Abbottabad, Dir, and Chitral. Similarly, Gilgit, Hunza, Astore, and Skardu are all slated to experience rainfall, accompanied by cooler temperatures.
However, dry and hot conditions are expected to persist across Sindh and Balochistan. The prospect of rainfall providing relief from the heat in Balochistan is confined to Quetta.
Today in Karachi, the weather is partly cloudy with a sea breeze blowing. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 31 degrees Celsius.
