KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted moderate to heavy rainfall in Karachi on Sunday. Similar weather patterns are expected in various areas of Sindh, including Sukkur and Larkana.
Continuing westerly winds, which have been impacting the country’s upper regions, are now anticipated to move into the southern and eastern regions, ushering in another round of rainfall, as stated by the Met Office.
According to the Meteorological Department, Karachi will experience hot and humid conditions over the next 24 hours, with temperatures potentially peaking at 36°C. Presently, humidity levels stand at 75%, with westerly winds blowing at a speed of 11 kilometers per hour.
Earlier predictions by weather analyst Jawad Memon suggested widespread rainfall across the country starting from April 13 or 14, owing to the influence of westerly winds. Additionally, Memon mentioned the likelihood of above-average rainfall for the month of April.
