Pakistan secured a historic triumph by winning the Davis Cup Juniors 2025, defeating Indonesia 2-1 in an intense final to claim the championship.
The national team remained undefeated throughout the tournament, showcasing exceptional skill, determination, and teamwork. With this victory, Pakistan has qualified for the ITF Asia/Oceania Davis Cup Juniors Qualifying Event, scheduled to take place in Kazakhstan from May 19 to 24, 2025.
The top 16 teams from Asia and Oceania will compete in this elite event for a spot in the World Group.
President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), Aisam-ul-Haq, congratulated the team on their historic achievement, calling it a moment of immense pride for the nation.
He lauded the dedication and commitment of players Mikhail Ali Baig, Abu Bakar Talha, Hamza Roman, and captain Shehzad Khan, emphasizing that Pakistan’s flag is rising on the global tennis stage.
Aisam-ul-Haq noted that Pakistan’s team ranked 16th in 2023 and 5th in 2024, but securing the championship this year marks a major milestone, highlighting the country’s steady progress toward international tennis success.
