Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant drop on Wednesday, falling by Rs3,400 per tola and bringing the new rate down to Rs345,800, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold also declined sharply, decreasing by Rs2,915 to reach Rs296,467.
This steep drop follows a notable surge just a day earlier, when gold prices had risen by Rs2,100 per tola, closing at Rs349,200.
In the international market, gold prices fell by $34, bringing the total to $3,276 per ounce, which includes a $20 premium.
Silver prices also saw a decline, dropping by Rs70 to settle at Rs3,427 per tola.
