LAHORE: Pakistan Shaheens thrashed Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) by 5 wickets in the only fifty-over fixture at Aitchison College Ground.
Imran Rafiq played a brilliant inning as he scored 66 runs for 124 balls and was the highest scorer of Pakistan Shaheen’s side. Hasan Mohsin also scored crucial 49 runs for 54 balls.
Oliver Hannon of MCC side took 2 wickets and Safyaan Sharif and Roelof van der Merwe took 1 wicket apiece.
Pakistan Shaheen’s pacer Ehsan Adil took 6 wickets for just 34 runs and restricted MCC for 204 runs for 9 wickets.
Ross Whitely scored 51 runs in just 39 deliveries and was the highest scorer for the MCC. Roelof van der Merwe played till the end of the inning and was not out on 47 from 79 balls.
The MCC will now play Northern, the domestic T20 champions in a 20-over contest at the Aitchison College Ground on Monday and Multan Sultans on Wednesday.
