KARACHI: K-Electric has announced that there will be no load shedding across Karachi on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, assuring citizens of an uninterrupted power supply on August 26, 2026, on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).

According to a statement issued by the power utility, electricity supply will remain uninterrupted across the city throughout the day. The announcement has been made in view of the large number of Eid Milad-un-Nabi gatherings and religious events scheduled across Karachi.

K-Electric said it has identified 355 feeders across the city where Eid Milad-un-Nabi gatherings are expected to take place. These include feeders serving areas classified as high-loss areas.

The power utility said special arrangements have been made to ensure continuity of electricity supply at locations where religious gatherings and processions are expected to take place.

K-Electric’s field teams will also remain deployed across the city to ensure the prompt and priority resolution of local faults and minimize any disruption to electricity services.

The utility further clarified that load shedding will not be carried out in high-loss areas or other parts of Karachi on the occasion of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal.

Meanwhile, K-Electric has urged citizens to exercise caution around electricity infrastructure. Residents have been advised to maintain a safe distance from power lines, electrical equipment and other installations to avoid accidents during the celebrations.

The power utility said its teams will remain available in the field to respond to any localized technical faults and ensure reliable electricity supply throughout the occasion.
