A thriller movie titled ‘The Mother’ starring Jennifer Lopez is scheduled to be released on on Netflix this year.
Directed by Niki Caro, the 52-year-old is teaming up with a stellar cast of actors including The Handmaid’s Tale’s Joseph Fiennes to star as the lead role in the movie.
Plot
The film sees Lopez playing an assassin who comes out of the woodworks after going into hiding to care for her daughter (Paez), who she left after being chased by some really bad guys.
Hardwick will play an FBI agent, and it’s believed him and Raci are on Lopez’s side. Meanwhile Fiennes and Bernal are most certainly not.

Production status of ‘The Mother’
Thanks to the previous information we found listed on IMDb Pro, we knew that filming for The Mother began on October 4th, 2021. Production was stopped for a week, according to gossip blog Lainey Gossip, due to a COVID-19 outbreak. Filming eventually wrapped at the end of January on January 28th, 2022.
The filming locations for the movie included Vancouver, Canada, and Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands in Spain.
Release date?
The Mother is scheduled to be released on May 12, 2023 by Netflix.
