Copurt adjourns Maryam Nawaz’s hearing in Mills case

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has indefinitely adjourned the hearing of a petition filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
According to details, the hearing was adjourned without any proceedings due to the unavailability of Justice Ali Baqar Najafi.
In a petition filed in the Lahore High Court, Maryam Nawaz has raised objections to her arrest.
The petition stated that Maryam Nawaz was being subjected to political revenge and that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has not found single evidence against her.

Earlier, Maryam Nawaz had moved LHC against her arrest by NAB, claiming she is being subjected to political revenge and that the bureau has not found any evidence against her.
On August 8, the NAB team had detained Maryam Nawaz outside the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore for skipping appearance in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case due to meeting with her father and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
