KARACHI: K-Electric has announced a temporary electricity shutdown schedule for various areas of the city on October 1, 2026, due to scheduled maintenance work.
According to the schedule issued by K-Electric, power supply to several feeders will remain suspended during specified hours. The duration of the shutdown will vary from area to area, with some feeders scheduled to remain without electricity from 8am to 6pm.
According to the schedule, electricity supply in Clayton Quarters will remain suspended from 8am to 6pm, while Bagh-e-Malir will experience a shutdown from 9am to 6pm. Power supply to Gulshan-e-Ghazali and Moonlight is scheduled to remain suspended from 9:30am to 6pm.
Similarly, maintenance shutdowns have been scheduled for the Army Housing Malir, Al-Najeeb, Lal Masjid and S.D. Houses feeders from 10:30am to 6pm.
The schedule also includes Hadi Market, Diamond City, Doosa Wool, Green Park City, Kuwait Consulate, Royal City and Quetta Town RMU, where electricity supply will be affected during the specified maintenance hours.
At the Saima Tower-1 feeder, the power shutdown is scheduled from 11am to 6pm, while Muhammad Ali Park will experience a shutdown from 9:01am to 5:54pm.
According to K-Electric’s schedule, electricity supply to Power Cell and Wells Area will remain suspended from 8:59am to 5:29pm, while the shutdown at Merchant Construction is scheduled from 9:59am to 5:59pm.
K-Electric has described the scheduled outages as maintenance shutdowns. Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to plan their routine activities accordingly, keeping the scheduled shutdown timings in mind.
