LONDON; Manchester City has agreed to a £45m deal with Leeds for England midfielder Kalvin Phillips, Gabriel Jesus is set to join Arsenal from Manchester City, British media reported on Saturday.
The club will pay £42m for the 26-year-old with potential bonuses of £3m. The Premier League champions made Phillips a key summer transfer target, with Fernandinho leaving this summer after nine years with the club.
Phillips was in the Leeds academy and has made 214 appearances for the side since his senior debut in 2015. The Manchester club has already been busy in the transfer market with Erling Haaland completing a £51.2m transfer from Borussia Dortmund.
Meanwhile, ARSENAL has reportedly agreed a deal in principle with Man City for Gabriel Jesus. A fee of £45m will reportedly be paid to bring the Brazilian to North London.
According to the details, Arsenal transfer business is not done yet, the north London club is more than happy to meet Ajax’s £42m valuation of center-back Lisandro Martinez.
However, Marseille are set to launch a £26million bid to sign Arsenal defender William Saliba, according to reports. Saliba impressed on loan at Stade Velodrome last season, helping Jorge Sampaoli’s side finish second in Ligue 1.
