PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that we have been thinking of the welfare of the people from the very beginning of PTI.
According to the prime minister, making Pakistan a welfare state is our manifesto. According to details, the prime minister while addressing the launching ceremony of the Prime Minister’s National Health Insurance Programme under Successful Youth Program in Peshawar said that when we founded PTI we thought of the welfare of the people. Addressing the function, the prime minister said that our manifesto is to make the country a welfare state.
During the address, PM Imran Khan said that we have worked for the health sector by bringing reforms in KPK. “Our manifesto is to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state and it means the state of Madinah,” he said.
The prime minister said that health care is for both the poor and the white-clad. I asked Punjab to take similar steps because of health insurance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The distribution of health cards will start from 1st January in Punjab.
He said that all Punjab would get health insurance in three months. “Allah Almighty listens to the prayers of the poor. The provinces are paying for health insurance. Health insurers will be able to get treatment up to Rs 1 million from any hospital,” he added.
