LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is reported to have picked up senior journalist Shahid Aslam from Lahore in connection with the leaking tax records of former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s family.
Senior journalists and multiple sources said journalist Shahid Aslam has reportedly been charged with assisting another journo Ahmed Noorani in obtaining data related to the tax records of former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s family.

However, Ahmad Noorani himself has denied these allegations.

It is pertinent to mention here that three FBR officials have already been arrested by FIA in the data leak case.

Meanwhile, journalists’ community h as strongly condemned arrest of Shahid Aslam by FIA, a body which functions under Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah.
