In the Gulberg area of Lahore, the police raided a dance party ongoing at a private hotel near Hussain Chowk and arrested 51 boys and girls.
According to the police spokesperson, the action was taken based on information from a special informant. During the raid, alcohol, hashish, and other intoxicating substances were recovered from the possession of the accused.
The police have registered a case against the arrested individuals under the Hudood Ordinance, the Shisha Act, the Sound Act, and other relevant sections.
According to preliminary information, the arrested individuals include Saima, Faisal, Arif, among others. The police have started further investigations.
A few days ago, in the Bhurban area of Murree, the police conducted an operation on a dance party at a local hotel and arrested 90 individuals, including 32 women and 58 men.
According to the police, six liters of alcohol were recovered during the raid, loud music was being played in the hotel, and the dance party was ongoing with participants in a semi-nude state.
