KP’s Uni lifts ban on male, female students from sitting together
PESHAWAR: The administration of Bacha Khan University on Thursday has lifted the ban which prohibited male and female students from sitting together.
A departmental inquiry has been launched against the assistant chief proctor for issuing the circular without consulting senior administration officials. This is the second such incident reported in Khyber Pakthunkhwa this month.
A notification was issued earlier in September, the varsity’s assistant chief proctor announced that coupling of male and female students would not allow.
The notification warned that the violators would be penalized without any further warning.
The notification alluded to a surge in un-Islamic and un-cultural relationships and warned that students found violating the order would be fined and their parents would be notified.
