District and Sessions Judge Shakirullah Marwat, carrying out his duties in South Waziristan, was reportedly abducted by armed individuals near the border area of Tank and Dera Ismail Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to Geo News.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohammad Adnan from DI Khan confirmed the incident, stating that it occurred in the Bagwal village situated between the border areas of Tank and DI Khan while the judge was commuting from the office to DI Khan. The perpetrators abandoned the judge’s vehicle and driver at the scene.
Police mentioned that no group has claimed responsibility for the abduction.
Responding to the distressing event, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi expressed concern and sorrow. He urged KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to address the issue of “non-seriousness” in maintaining peace in the province, questioning why terrorists are still active.

Kundi emphasized that the reports of the judge’s abduction have instilled a sense of insecurity among the public. He concluded by offering prayers for the judge’s safe return, as reported by Geo News.
