The public is protesting against unannounced load-shedding in various areas of Karachi. Due to the protest that has been ongoing since last night on the National Highway track from Malir Halt to Quaidabad, traffic has been suspended, and thousands of people are facing difficulties.

According to details, people have taken to the streets in different areas due to unannounced load-shedding. The protest on the National Highway track from Malir Halt to Quaidabad has brought traffic to a standstill.

Protesters say that there is a severe electricity outage in Malir, Shadman Town, Quaidabad, Malir 15, Malir City, and the areas around Malir Court. The protesting citizens say that there is no electricity for up to 16 hours, leading to health problems, including heatstroke in the intense heat. Patients are suffering.

K-Electric states that due to widespread illegal connections (kundas), areas with electricity theft are not exempt from load-shedding. In areas where billing is regular, electricity is not cut off.
