The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) have announced special traffic arrangements ahead of the 6th Muharram procession set to take place in Sector I-9 today.

As per the plan, the procession will begin from Street No. 22 and conclude at Imambargah Jafriya in I-9/1. The service road alongside I-9/1 will be completely closed to all types of traffic during the event.

Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes, including IJP Road and Warsak Road near I-9 Markaz, to avoid delays.

In addition, Street No. 18 and the service road near Imambargah I-9/1 will also be off-limits for vehicles for the duration of the procession.

Citizens can use alternate paths such as Mangal Bazaar I-9 and the IJP Principal Road to maintain smooth traffic flow.

Chief Traffic Officer Captain (R) Zeeshan Haider urged the public to refrain from illegal parking along the procession route. He stressed that vehicles should only be parked in designated areas.
