BHAGALPUR: Indian actress Amrita Pandey was tragically found dead under mysterious circumstances at her residence in the Bhagalpur district of Bihar, as stated by a senior police official on Tuesday.
The lifeless body of Amrita, known professionally as Annapurna, was discovered in her Bhagalpur apartment on Saturday (April 27), prompting an immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding her untimely passing.
Prior to her demise, there were reports of a cryptic message posted on WhatsApp attributed to her. The message, which read, “Do naav me savaar thi uski zindagi, humne apni naav duba ke uska safar aasaan kar diya (Their life was on two boats, we made their path easier by sinking our boat),” seemed to allude to personal struggles.
It has been reported that she was grappling with depression stemming from concerns about her career, feeling a lack of opportunities.
In 2022, she had tied the knot with Chandramani Jhangad, a Mumbai-based resident from Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, who works as an animation engineer.
Amrita Pandey’s most recent work was in the web series ‘Pratishodh,’ and she had previously starred alongside Bhojpuri superstar Khesari Lal Yadav in the film ‘Deewanapan.’
The Jogsar police station is currently investigating her death.
