Karachi is expected to experience a change in weather conditions starting today, with a rise in nighttime temperatures, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
The PMD predicts nighttime temperatures will range from 14 to 16 degrees Celsius. Daytime highs are forecast to reach 30 degrees Celsius.
Currently, the city is experiencing cold, dry weather with a temperature of 11 degrees Celsius. Winds are blowing from the northeast at 11 kilometers per hour, with humidity at 50 percent.
As per PMD, On Sunday, the weather is likely to remain cold and dry in most parts of the country. Light rain and potential snowfall are expected at a few places in northwestern Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
In Islamabad and surrounding areas, the weather is likely to remain cold and partly cloudy. Likewise, in Punjab, Sunday is expected to bring cold and partly cloudy weather for most districts. However, in hilly areas including Murree and surrounding areas light rain and light snowfall are also expected at night.
For Khyber Pakhtunkhwa too, PMD predicts cold and partly cloudy weather in most districts. However, rain and even snowfall is likely in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Kurram, Bajaur and Waziristan.
In Sindh, the weather will remain dry and cold in most districts of the province, said PMD.
For Balochistan, the conditions are not different. Additionally, light rain is predicted in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Zhob, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Chaghi, Noshki, Kala,t and Khuzdar. Light snowfall is also likely in the mountains.
Kashmir will get extremely cold, with partly cloudy conditions in Kashmir. Rain and snowfall are also predicted at a few places in the evening and night hours. Similarly, Gilgit-Baltistan will get extremely chilly, with rain and snowfall predicted at a few places in the late hours.
