ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has expressed hope that the new leadership of military will work to end prevailing trust deficit that has built up in last 8 months between the nation and the State.
His statement came just a day after Army Chief General Asim Munir assumed command of the Pakistan Army in a ceremony held at GHQ on Tuesday.

Taking to Twitter, Imran Khan extended felicitations to Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza as new Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and Gen Syed Asim Munir as new Chief of Army Staff.
He embedded a quote of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah which reads: “Do not forget that the armed forces are the servants of the people and you do not make national policy; it is we, the civilians, who decide these issues and it is your duty to carry out these tasks with which you are entrusted”.
