LAHORE: PTI chairman Imran Khan has received nomination papers for the election that will be held on the NA-193 vacant seat of the National Assembly in the Rajanpur district of Punjab province.
According to details, National Assembly seat NA 193 belonging to Jampur in Rajanpur was occupied by PTI Member of Assembly Sardar Jafar Laghari, whose seat became vacant after his death. According to the announcement of the Election Commission, the by-election will be held on February 26.
PTI has announced to contest the election from the constituency. Imran Khan will contest the election from NA 193 for which Imran Khan received nomination papers from the Election Commission. He will represent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf on NA-193.

Earlier, Speaker National Assembly accepted the resignation of 35 members of Tehreek-e-Insaaf. PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said that Imran Khan would contest elections from all 33 constituencies. PTI will not leave any seats vacant. It should be noted that there will be no by-election for 2 out of 35 reserved seats.
Earlier, PTI leader Usman Buzdar was the Chief Minister of Punjab, after which Hamza Shehbaz took over this post for some time, after which PTI-backed Q-League leader Pervaiz Elahi took over the post of Chief Minister. Tehreek-e-Insaf emerged as the main political party of Punjab in the 2018 general elections.
